About Münster
Münster is the City of science, city of sculptures, city of the Peace of Westphalia, city of bicycles, Hanseatic city – Münster is a living metropolis with many faces. In 2014, its population exceeded the 300,000 mark for the first time. With 65,000 students, Münster is one of the ten largest university cities in Germany. In addition, Münster is known as a bicycle city due to its bicycle-friendly cityscape.
About the host orchestra
The Young Symphony Orchestra at the WWU Münster e. V. is a student-oriented ensemble with currently around 85 active members from all faculties. However, non-students are always welcome. The orchestra has existed since 1986 and is a member of Jeunesses Musicales Germany and the Federal Association of German Amateur Orchestras.
